While sticking to schedules is not usually my thing, I have shockingly just done so! As promised, I found a website that gives you a very bare bones prompt and send you on your merry way to write whatever your heart desires. The site also gives you a word limit, but since we have a time limit in place already, I will be following that instead of the word limits of the site. I have picked this site over many others because of it's very familiar to me format - that of the prompts given at the 48 hour film festivals. Besides being familiar, it has also made me really happy and has brought back a ton of fun memories. So, here is the site and the prompt it generated for me:

The Big Cruise
The jungle is a busy place. All year round the animals work very hard to make sure their big, beautiful green home is the best place it can be. Of course, the jungle isn't without problems. It has a fair share of troublemakers. After all, there is a natural order to the animal kingdom and it isn't always fair to every animal who lives there.Thankfully, there is one time every year all of the animals put their differences aside, and go on a fun vacation on their big beautiful boat. The animals always love to rest up after a long season of hard work, make a lot of new friends, make up with their rivals, and just have a fun time without a single worry in the world.
The elephant loves this time of the year most of all. His favorite hobby is riding his bicycle all around the jungle and filming all of his animal friends. He loves capturing all of the beautiful friendships and all of the hard work the animals do every single day, and there is no better time to film his friends than a big friendly cruise!
This year's cruise was going as well, if not better than any other! Big rivals Ms. Zebra and Mr. Lion were very much enjoying each other's company, Mr. giraffe finally collected all the courage and said "I love you" to his sweetheart Ms. Giraffe, the rabbits added another beautiful child to their big happy family, and the Elephant was the happiest of all, capturing all of these beautiful, precious memories onto his favorite camera.
TIME UP
The summary of the rest:
This year not everything was going to go as well as it seemed. The monkeys got a hold of the ship's controls and steered it right into a big boulder. The ship cracked right open, and all of the animals along with the broken ship washed up on a uninhabited island. There was chaos all around, nobody was getting along anymore, the kids had no idea what was going to happen and started crying, the parents didn't know what to do either, but the elephant didn't panic! He took out his projector that he CONVENIENTLY brought, and showed everyone the video he made. He was hoping to surprise the animals with this video during the cruise to help them appreciate their amazing lives, all of their hard work in the jungle, and how much they were getting along on the boat. Of course, his idea worked! The video brought everyone back together, they worked hard to fix the boat and all got home safely, partying on their awesome boat all the way home, of course!
Thanks for reading! The main thing I realized during by first ever write-up, is how very short 30 minutes really is. I was barely able to write down anything at all. Also, I have never written in a children's book format, so that was incredibly rough, and I'm still not completely sure I pulled it off. Overall, it was fun!
See ya'll next time!
